The Dysart Arms
Description
A truly classic English village pub, built as a farmhouse in the mid-18th century, and licensed since the late 1800s. Around its central bar are several airy rooms with solid wooden tables and chairs, tiled and wooden floors, lovely open fires and a couple of large bookcases. From the terrace and immaculate garden there are views of Peckforton Castle one way, and Beeston Castle the other. Home-grown herbs are used in an appetising menu offering starters like black olive and artichoke tart, and warm goats' cheese with honey dressing. Among the main courses are steak, kidney and oyster pudding; seafood gratin; local Bunbury bangers; pan-fried duck breasts; and sweet pepper and pepper bake.
