The Blackcock Inn

Nestled close to Kielder Water, the Blackcock is an ideal base for walking, boating and fishing; it is also handy for the Rievers cycle route. Stone walls, log fires and original beams reflect the 18th-century origins of this traditional family-run free house. The food draws on excellent local produce, with options ranging from light lunchtime snacks through to full evening meals in the intimate Chatto's restaurant. On Sundays, expect a traditional roast and freshly cooked puddings.
