The Royal Marines Museum
Description
The Royal Marines Museum celebrates the famous fighting spirit and long history of the Royal Marines. Based in the lavishly decorated former Officers' Mess of Eastney Barracks, built in the 1860s for the Royal Marine Artillery, the Museum is situated in the very heart of the Corps history. With displays and exhibits highlighting the history of the Royal Marines from their beginnings in 1664 through to the present day, and the new 'The Making of the Royal Marines Commando' exhibition, the Museum brings to life the history, character and humour of the Royal Marines.
