Description
This delightful 17th-century coaching inn is now very much a charming, modern-day gastro-pub. Set in a tranquil village on the outskirts of Hunstanton, the rustic bar boasts a huge fireplace with wood-burning stove, exposed brickwork and beams and is simply furnished with plain wooden tables. The tables in the intimate candlelit restaurant are more formally attired in crisp linen. There is also a new conservatory dining area available. The British menu draws on good quality produce, locally sourced where possible. Clean-flavoured dishes are pleasingly presented, as in organic saddleback pork belly with creamed leeks and wholegrain mustard velouté, or hand-made saffron pasta with sautéed wild mushrooms, Madeira herb sauce and fresh parmesan.
