Description

This popular modern restaurant has a light-and-airy feel, and is ideally situated above the town's fish market on the quay overlooking the harbour. Fittingly, it's decked out with maritime art, complemented by polished lightwood tables and chairs. In summer the decked balcony is a great place for alfresco dining, while on less clement days the views of the harbour and fishing fleet more than compensate. Not surprisingly given its location, the daily-changing modern menus come awash with fish and seafood, straight from the boats and simply cooked. Take steamed oak-smoked haddock, served with root vegetable rösti, warm leek and wild mushroom salad with grain mustard cream, or shellfish (scallops, mussels, oysters, crevettes and cockles), red onion, fennel and saffron broth with lemon mash.
