Perry's has bags of Georgian charm and a position on the harbour that gives you the feeling you're right in the heart of the action. Spread over two floors, needless to say the window seats are in high demand, but wherever you sit, the atmosphere is convivial and the menu full of appeal. Given the setting seafood is duly present and correct on the menu, but by no means exclusively so - you might start, for example, with a spiced duck confit terrine (served with a chestnut and bacon salad, and pear chutney). Among main courses, sea bass may be pan-fried and come with parsnip purée, fondant potato and balsamic-glazed beetroot, while to finish, go for West Country cheeses or sticky toffee pudding. The wine list is champion.
