Carbis Bay Hotel

Carbis Bay, ST IVES, TR26 2NP

1 rosettes

The family that run the hotel also own the sandy beach that is only 90 seconds away, and the view over sand and sea is breathtaking. David Sharland (who formerly worked with Rick Stein) brings his culinary expertise to the Sands Restaurant with its glorious sea views and contemporary finish. There's plenty of seafood up for grabs with the likes of seared scallops with variations of apple or monkfish tails with crayfish fritter and crab remoulade, but meaty options hit the spot, too, such as a starter of chicken satay with sticky chilli peanuts and caramelised pineapple. Finish with dark chocolate mousse served with a cherry and Disaronno ice cream.
