A tunnel through the basement appears to lend credence to the theory that the place was a smugglers' route in days of yore. It's a cheerily decorated bistro on the harbour-front, with an uplifting menu of fish and seafood dishes at its heart. Black bream with a crab and potato cake, or half-lobsters with king prawns dressed in chilli, garlic and coriander are among the principal draws, but there are also grilled meats, and a range of Asian dishes such as Penang curry. Kids should ask for the Salty Puppy menu, and both they and their elders may enjoy a closing helping of gooey sticky banana pudding.

I love this restaurant, the menu is extensive and exciting and always tastes great, and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly with lovely music. Go there it is good.
