Harris's Restaurant
Description
Harris's has been in the food industry since 1860. The attractive restaurant is located on the ground floor, and has a fine pressed metal ceiling and a decorative spiral staircase leading to the upstairs bar, where lighter lunches are also served. Service, like the atmosphere, is friendly, relaxed but efficient. The modern European menu changes seasonally, offering more fish and shellfish during the summer. Best quality local produce is simply cooked with good sauces and no over-embellishment. Recommended dishes include line-caught sea bass, crab Florentine, and medallions of venison with beetroot, caraway seeds and glazed pear.
