On a cobbled side street in the centre of town, this friendly family-run restaurant decked out in scarlet and white with hanging baskets is a popular venue with locals and holiday-makers alike. They come for the wide choice of carefully prepared fish and shellfish - perhaps grilled crab florentine sprinkled with parmesan, followed by steamed John Dory in saffron sauce, or grilled Dover sole with chive butter. Meatheads are not neglected, though, so you can be sure of a grilled steak béarnaise, or perhaps venison medallions with beetroot and pear in red wine, if the mood takes you. Finish with lemon tart and white chocolate ice cream.
