MacCallums of Troon
Description
A former pump station has been transformed to create this spacious modern restaurant in a stunning harbourside location, where diners can watch the fishing fleet come and go. Décor in the high-raftered, wooden-floored interior is themed around America's Cup memorabilia. Expect great fish from a kitchen confident enough to take a simple approach and let the freshness of its produce shine through. Expect dishes like cullen skink, grilled langoustines with garlic butter, and baked halibut with mushy peas and lemon vinaigrette. A takeaway and deli sells everything from wet fish to fish and chips.
