4-6 Russell Street, LONDON, WC2B 5HZ

1 rosettes

The London offshoot of the legendary New York brasserie has played to packed houses since opening in 2013. It's a real looker, a large, high-ceilinged room decked out with mosaic floors, darkwood panelling, art deco lighting, red-leather banquettes and antique mirrors. The places buzzes from breakfast through to lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with menus delivering a line-up of classic French brasserie fare, from snails with garlic butter to salad Niçoise and moules frites, as well as a more up-to-date roasted stone bass with artichoke purée, smoked aubergine, baby fennel, and tomato, basil and olive dressing. Desserts are exemplary renditions of comfort classics like crème brûlée or apple tarte Tatin.
