35 Wingate Road, Ravenscourt Park, LONDON, W6 0UR
The Anglesea Arms was one of the pioneering London gastro-pubs, and after a relaunch in June 2014, it's as popular today as it ever has been. A seared mackerel fillet with a cod and truffle fritter and beetroot and watercress salad with lemon dressing is a perfect summery opener, followed by the porcine pleasure of Gloucester Old Spots pork belly, pointed up inventively with roast peach, spinach and lentils; if you're in the mood for fish, there might be hake with girolle mushrooms, samphire, radishes and broad beans. Finish with almond milk pannacotta with cherry sorbet and compôte, or warm chocolate and ale cake with ale caramel sauce and cereal milk ice cream.
