This hotel and its spa and conference facilities are surrounded by 200 acres of countryside. The contemporary, open-plan restaurant looks out over the gardens while uniformed staff deliver the kitchen's well-presented and well-timed modern British fare. This includes a starter of home-made tortellini with sweet, roasted squash, wild mushrooms, sage crisps for added texture, and sage dressing. Next up, an aromatic main of pan-fried seabass fillet is served on soft, silky confit leek purée with crab gnocchi, fondant potato and beurre blanc sauce. Finish on a high with tangy, light lemon Pavlova roulade with raspberry coulis.
