Lynn Road, GRIMSTON, King's Lynn, PE32 1AH
The Georgian house was built in the 1780s by a wealthy King's Lynn merchant and has gorgeous gardens, a swish spa and a restaurant full of genuine period charm. A herb garden in the grounds produces an astonishing 400 varieties. French windows look onto the garden from the dining room, where the cooking that arrives at pristine linen-clad tables is gently modern in outlook, producing a starter of seared scallops and pork in artichoke velouté with capers, apple and yuzu, and for main course, lamb rump with pea purée, wild mushrooms and salsa verde, concluding with blackberry parfait and oat crumble.
