With its no-booking policy (unless you're six or more), open kitchen and raft of cool cocktails and quirky gin preparations, Coppinger Row is a fashionable address. The chefs take inspiration from the Mediterranean countries, but most of what turns up on the plate is sourced from hereabouts. Kick off with garlic and chilli prawns cooked a la plancha - a dozen of them served in their shells - or spinach and ricotta gnocchi, before stepping up to generous grilled swordfish (a daily special), or Moroccan-spiced lamb shank. Vanilla pannacotta with poached black cherries wobbles in all the right places.
