Trengilly Wartha Inn

Nestling in 6 acres of lovely gardens in a peaceful wooded valley near the Helford River, this is a traditional country pub with bags of character and an informal bistro attached. The kitchen specialises in home-made food prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It draws on influences from all over the world and typical dishes might include Thai crab soup made with local crab cooked with chilli, garlic, ginger, coriander and coconut, and pork belly slow-cooked in cider with fennel mash and white onion sauce, with a trio of miniature crème brûlées for dessert. The wine list is comprehensive and there's also an imaginative range of bar meals.
