Virtually on the beach and with a sunny terrace almost within touching distance of the waves, you might be forgiven for thinking you were eating in a Spanish resort eatery rather than a fish restaurant on the Jurassic Coast. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows make the most of the sea views and the recently refurbished Beachcomber-style interior is bright and contemporary with pastel shades and bleached wood. Young, smiley staff add to the relaxed, unpretentious vibe of the restaurant with its open-to-view kitchen adding a degree of theatre. The freshest seafood simply cooked is the deal here and you might set out with a light and crisp tempura squid with a mixed radish salad. It could be followed by a spankingly fresh Weymouth wild sea bass fillet served with mixed shellfish cooked in a crab bisque.
