The Cross Keys Inn

This early 18th-century building has been an ale house for most of its existence. Set on top of a hill in some beautiful countryside, it's no surprise that there are some stunning views. Serving freshly prepared meals and plenty of locally-brewed ales, the Cross Keys is family and pet-friendly, and provides a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. As well as a regularly changing menu of classics such as seafood pie, fish and chips, and baked smoked haddock, there's a famous pie menu, which offers the likes of chicken, ham and leek; rabbit and venison; chicken and mushroom; and minted lamb and spring onion.
