The Old Bank of England

194 Fleet Street, LONDON, EC4A 2LT

This magnificent building previously housed the Law Courts' branch of the Bank of England. Set between the site of Sweeney Todd's barbershop and his mistress' pie shop, it stands above the original bank vaults and the tunnels in which Todd butchered his unfortunate victims. Aptly, there's an extensive range of speciality pies including game, brandy and redcurrant, and lamb and red pepper, but other treats include roasted lemon and thyme chicken breast on a pearl barley broth, and caramelised onion and olive puff pastry tart.
