38 Leigh Road, STREET, BA16 0HB
Located in a quiet area of Street, this country-style, creeper-clad stone inn is an ideal touring base, with the fascinating Somerset Levels and the medieval glories of Glastonbury within easy reach. Over the years more than 500 guest beers have shared billing with the local favourite St Austell Tribute. Robust and traditional pub meals - some available as child portions - are the order of the day here; lasagne, chilli con carne, and Mediterranean pasta are home cooked, as are the changing daily specials. A final flourish could be a Somerset apple cake. The pub is proudly music and fruit-machine free; there's a grassy garden where dogs are welcome. En suite accommodation is available.
