The Two Brewers

38 Leigh Road, STREET, BA16 0HB

'A country pub in a town', this stone inn successfully achieves a balance between town local and country pub. Behind the bar, which serves cask-conditioned ales like Courage Best Bitter, is a collection of unusual pump-clips. Both alley skittles and boules in the enclosed garden are taken seriously. Guests staying over in the converted stable accommodation may plan visits to nearby Glastonbury Tor over a meal of freshly home-cooked goodies, such as the crispy vegetable platter; salmon goujons; succulent rump steak; or cheese and bacon toastie. Children's portions are available.
