Broadfield Ale House

452 Abbeydale Road, SHEFFIELD, S7 1FR

Silent movie-goers and steam railway passengers were among the first customers at the Broadfield, built just before Queen Victoria died. Millhouses and Ecclesall station no longer exists, but this distinctive pub on the Abbeydale Road is still very much in business. No fewer than nine handles proffer the discerning ale enthusiast a wonderful choice, from the likes of Stancill, Acorn, Black Iris and Blackjack breweries. Pride is taken in the food too, with home-made sausages and pies served with hand-cut chips and mushy peas always in demand; coeliacs, vegans, vegetarians and fish-lovers are also well catered for.
