SEAHOUSES, NE68 7SQ
With its prime location on the quayside giving wraparound sea views as far as the Farne Islands, this is surely one of the best situated pubs anywhere along Northumberland's stunning coast. Dating back to the 18th century, the inn has been transformed in more recent times to offer superb bar and dining areas plus seating outside. Children and dogs are welcomed, and pub dishes of locally sourced food represent excellent value. Typical of these are Cointreau chicken liver pâté; slow-cooked shoulder of lamb, mash and minted jus; and Northumberland pheasant Stroganoff.
