Old Smithy

1 Green Lane, Church Lawford, RUGBY, CV23 9EF

One of King Henry's Taverns, a prettier building is hard to imagine; the garden and patio are much sought-after in summer. The interior is inviting too, with huge logs fires adding warmth and atmosphere in winter, a modern conservatory-style dining room, and spacious bar where Marston's Pedigree is one of the choices. The menu of generous dishes will delight the hungry, but can cater for smaller appetites too, with paninis and jacket potatoes. International flavours include Mexican fillet fajitas; and pollo los marinos (chicken breast in a mushroom and white wine sauce) for a taste of Spain.
