Description
A big Edwardian-style pub, with a mix of private corners and sunny spacious rooms, all wrapped around a busy central bar. There's a large south-facing terrace with views over wooded hills. In addition to light bites and sandwiches, the comprehensive menu could include mushroom and Shropshire Blue soup; Wenlock Edge air-dried Shropshire ham and fig salad; Shropshire rabbit pie; artichoke heart tortelloni with watercress, caper and parmesan pesto. Desserts to try are chocolate and Shropshire stout cake; and passion fruit cheesecake with raspberry sauce.
