The Gribble Inn

OVING, Nr Chichester, PO20 2BP

This charming 16th-century thatched inn has its own microbrewery, and it is a peaceful spot to sup any of the own-brewed real ales on tap; any of the six ales can be taken away - quantities from just two pints to 20 litres. There are two open log fires, low beams and a pretty cottage garden. From the menu, enjoy traditional pub food such as slow-roasted pork belly; pork and herb sausages with creamy mash; and fruit crumble and custard. The inn hosts summer and winter beer festivals, and there is also a skittle alley. The inn is named after school teacher, Rose Gribble, who up until her death, lived in the building.
