The Rising Sun

A former drovers' inn, largely rebuilt following a fire in 1989, The Rising Sun is set in beautiful and peaceful Devon countryside. Owner Paul is the chef and is dedicated to using local and seasonal produce on his menus. There's a good choice of fish from Brixham - baked sea bass - and excellent West Country cheeses, plus home-made puddings and children's menu too. The pub is well known for its home-made pies (perhaps mixed game or beef and blue cheese) and regularly-changing ales. There are five en suite bedrooms available, including a family room.
