The Smoking Dog

62 The High Street, MALMESBURY, SN16 9AT

This compact town centre pub was built of stone in the 17th century and known as The Greyhound until 1986. Log fires and wooden floors enhance its warm and cosy interior, and the pub is one of the few in Malmesbury to boast a secure family garden at the rear. The menu mixes pub favourites like pie and mash with more imaginative fare such as wild mushroom risotto with blue cheese topping, and a renowned beer and sausage festival is held over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
