Old White Hart

51 Main St, LYDDINGTON, LE15 9LR

Owners Stuart and Holly East have been running this free house opposite the village green for over 14 years. It is constructed from honey-coloured sandstone like the surrounding cottages, and has original beamed ceilings and stone walls. On warm days customers take their pint of Great Oakley bitter (this and more at the summer beer festival), or Aspall cider out into the gardens or onto the covered patio. Dishes served in the restaurants include ham hock terrine, rib-eye steak, grilled pork chop, and vegetarian choices. Half-price menu offers are available Monday to Thursday. The inn also has a floodlit petanque pitch. Accommodation is in converted cottages alongside the pub.
