The Cleave Pub

LUSTLEIGH, TQ13 9TJ

Dating from the 16th century, this thatched, family-run pub is the only one in the village and is adjacent to the cricket pitch. It has a traditional snug bar, with beams, granite flooring and log fire; to the rear, formerly the old railway station waiting room, is now a light and airy dining area leading to a lovely cottage garden. The pub/bistro has gained a reputation for an interesting and varied menu. Dishes include mushroom ravioli; seared kangaroo steak; and fresh fish and seafood, depending on the catch. The Cleave hosts regular films, quizzes, Wii nights, concerts and live music.
