The Argyll Arms
Description
A tavern has stood on this site since 1740, but the present building is mid-Victorian and is notable for its stunning floral displays. The interior is divided into 'snugs' by wood and etched glass partitions dating from the late 1800s. There's a popular range of sandwiches and the hot food menu might offer vegetarian moussaka, beef and Guinness pie, chicken and leek pie, haddock and lasagne.
