French House
Description
Historic pub used by the Free French during World War II, and Soho bohemians since the 1950s when the likes of Dylan Thomas, Francis Bacon and Brendan Behan were regulars. The bar is small - they do not serve pints - and the music is the conversation. There is a small restaurant on the first floor where the menu changes regularly, including dishes like Chateaubriand with Lyonnaise potatoes, spring greens and port gravy; and pan-fried fillet of sea bream with saffron and pea risotto.
