The Ragleth Inn

Ludlow Road, LITTLE STRETTON, SY6 6RB

This 17th-century country inn sits midway between Shrewsbury and Ludlow in beautiful countryside at the foot of the Long Mynd hills. Its pretty exterior overlooks a large beer garden with plenty of wooden benches and a children's play area. Inside are two traditional bars and a restaurant with oak beams, antiques and inglenook fireplaces. A good range of ales includes Wye Valley Butty Bach and Wrekin Gold, with Mortimers Orchard pleasing cider lovers. Food follows classic pub grub lines, though the specials menu may list fresh calamari with sweet chilli; or medallions of pork, black pudding and Dijon sauce.
