Linton Hill,
LINTON,
Maidstone,
ME17 4AW
Built in 1674, this part-timbered former coaching inn stands high on the Greensand Ridge, with wonderful views and sunsets over the Weald from the garden and large decked area. Inside there is a large inglenook fireplace and lots of beams, and a bar serving Shepherd Neame and a wide-ranging menu that includes hearty sandwiches and pub classics - perfect sustenance for walkers tackling the Greensand Way. Along with a popular Sunday carvery, the bistro offers Goan-style tiger prawn curry, wild boar steak with plum sauce, and sticky toffee pudding.

Meal was awful - all steaks came out well over cooked, chips under-cooked and cold, pepper sauce cold, pork tough and burnt. When we asked to speak with the owner she gave us a barrage of insults before we could say a word and told us we were welcome to leave once we had paid for four out of six meals! There were ants on the table too. Don't go there!!!
