The Red Lion Inn

The Red Lion is a traditional country pub owned by the same family for 47 years. It hosts two darts teams in winter, a quoits team in summer, and bar snacks are served all year round. There are some wonderful walks in this part of the Dales and relevant books and maps are on sale in the bar. In the tiny snug there are photographs relating to the various films and TV programmes filmed at this unusually photogenic pub (including All Creatures Great and Small, A Woman of Substance and Hold the Dream). Ice cream, chocolates and sweets are available as well.
