Banbury Road, LADBROKE, CV47 2BY
Once a four-pub village, only the attractive, white-painted Bell has stood the test of time. Run with flair by husband and wife Huw and Ruth Griffiths, it lies way back from the road, with a tree-shaded garden and tables to one side. Real design flair is evident inside. Beers change frequently, sometimes to include the locally brewed What the Fox's Hat. Representing a broad menu, options are crispy duck spring roll; various burgers, including bean with grilled haloumi; pie of the day; supreme of pheasant wrapped in bacon with juniper mousse; and seared pavé of salmon with Puy lentil and spinach cassoulet.
