Smack on the water's edge and originally a row of cottages used in conjunction with the adjacent old mill, this historic 16th-century pub enjoys stunning views across Langstone Harbour. An individual rustic charm characterises the unspoilt interior, with flagstone floors, exposed beams and winter fires contrasting with the waterfront benches (arrive early!) and secluded rear garden for alfresco summer drinking. Extensive menus list traditional pub dishes, the choice ranging from rump steak ciabatta and battered haddock and chips to beef and red wine casserole and dark chocolate and walnut brownie. Wash down with a pint of Abbot Ale.
