GREAT HUCKLOW, Buxton, SK17 8RF
The inn dates from 1621, and the premises have held a licence for over 300 years; the names of all the landlords are known. The sheltered south-facing garden enjoys wonderful open views, and it's an ideal space for children during the warmer months. Inside you'll find an open fire in the stone fireplace, an ever-changing range of cask ales, and a short menu of popular pub dishes. These embrace starters of Thai fishcake with salad and dip; or duck pancakes with hoisin sauce; and main courses of beef rendang with rice; steak and ale pie; brie and beetroot tart; or home-baked ham salad and new potatoes.
