The Cock Inn

Henley Street, Luddesdowne, GRAVESEND, DA13 0XB

Dating from 1713, this whitewashed free house in the beautiful Luddesdowne Valley has two traditional beamed bars with wood-burning stoves and open fires. Always available are eight well-kept real ales, Köstritzer and other German beers, and not a fruit machine, jukebox or TV in sight. All food, only served at lunchtime, is ordered at the bar: expect filled submarine rolls and basket meals. As an adults-only pub, no-one under 18 is allowed inside or in the garden.
