The Ship Inn

A pub since 1838, this lively free house sits right on the waterfront at Elie Bay. It has been run by the enthusiastic Philip family for over 20 years. The cricket team plays regular fixtures on the beach, live music is regularly staged, and a full programme of charity and celebratory events runs throughout the year, including a barbecue on New Year's Day. The best of local produce features on the concise menu which offers the likes of deep-fried haddock in beer batter, and baguettes of chicken mayonnaise and spicy chorizo sausage.
