The enthusiastic Philip family has run this lively free house for over 20 years. A pub since 1838, it sits right on the waterfront at Elie Bay. The cricket team plays regular fixtures on the beach, live music is regularly staged, and a full programme of charity and celebratory events runs throughout the year, including a barbecue on New Year's Day.
