Rebuilt in 1905 overlooking the village green and cricket pitch, yet barely 15 miles from Charing Cross. There's an attractively furnished Continental-style bar and a Thai restaurant offering nearly 75 starters, soups, curries, stir-fries, and seafoods. The Thai menu is available at lunchtime and in the evenings, as are calamari, Cajun chicken burgers, scampi, roast beef and lamb, and paninis. Dishes of the day appear on the specials board. Recent change of hands.

Excellent food and a welcoming staff. The rooms were a bit shabby though with some of the basics, such as lights, not working which was a pity. Costs were £70 per night for a single, so some of the website info, stating 'from £30 per night' is a bit misleading. i would go back though if I was in the area.
