The Swan

A friendly gastro-pub, The Swan is the perfect spot for all seasons with its welcoming wood-panelled interior and a large lawned garden and patio for summertime refreshments. Good food is at the heart of the operation, and you can sit and eat wherever you like. The menu of modern, mostly Mediterranean cooking has a particular Italian influence, and vegetarians are not forgotten. Start perhaps with fried beef dumplings with sweet chilli relish; a vegetarian option could be baked goat's cheese bruschetta with Sicilian aubergine relish and pesto. Next comes the main course: roast poussin with lemon and thyme and sweet potato hash; or pheasant and wild mushroom risotto. If you still have an appetite, then finish off with pear and almond tart, or home-made ice cream. Real ale recommendations are shown on the menu.
