Yew Tree Inn

CAULDON, Stoke-on-Trent, ST10 3EJ

Alan East's 300-year-old pub is home to his amazing collection of antiques and curiosities, including a 3,000-year-old Grecian urn, several penny-farthings, polyphons, a pair of Queen Victoria's stockings, a crank handle telephone and a pub lantern. No wonder he's been nicknamed the Moorland Magpie. A snacks-only menu offers locally made, hand-raised pork pies, sandwiches, baps, quiches and desserts, all ready to be accompanied by a pint of Bass, Burton Bridge or Rudgate Ruby Mild.
