High Street, BOSHAM, PO18 8LS
If you park your car opposite The Anchor Bleu, check the tide times at this 17th-century inn, as that area floods during most high tides. Flagstone floors, low beams, an open log fire, an upstairs dining room with views and two terraces, one overlooking Chichester Harbour, add to the charm of this popular pub. A good choice of real ales is on offer, including Ringwood Fortyniner. Dishes are based on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, such as Blackdown venison steak, salt and pepper squid, and brie and artichoke tartlet. Meals can be taken on the terraces during warmer weather. Reservations are recommended.
