The Sussex Ox

Drink deeply of old Sussex here, with the wonderful, match-boarded old bar rooms, wood and sealed-brick floors oozing character and a lawned beer garden looking out to that famous Sussex character, the Long Man of Wilmington. Dine in the bar, the Garden Room, or the more formal Dining Room; the daily-changing menu relies on the best local ingredients; perhaps braised oxtail with winter vegetables and mash; or Huntingdon Fidget pie. Bar snacks and smoked Applewood Cheddar ploughman's are also available, perhaps washed down with the pub's own Oxhead Bitter from Dark Star Brewery.
