William IV

Little London, ALBURY, GU5 9DG

Deep in the wooded Surrey Hills yet only a few miles from Guildford, this 16th-century free house provides 'proper pub food' made from mostly local produce. Look out for dishes of free-range pork (raised by landlord Giles) written on the blackboards, but also worth considering are the liver and bacon, beer-battered cod and chips, and pan-fried Cajun chicken, all served in the bar and dining room. Young's and two Surrey breweries supply the real ales. It is great walking and riding country, and the attractive garden is ideal for post-ramble relaxation.
