FAQs

What's the gas boiler warranty?

All our boilers come with a 7-year manufacturer warranty. You're covered for all parts and labour in that time (this applies to the boiler unit only). 

For Worcester Bosch boilers, this is subject to a suitable magnetic filter being fitted at the time of installation at an additional charge. This will be included in your installation quote. Subject to terms and conditions.


What's AA central heating aftercare?

Under this policy, we also back up your entire gas central heating system for 1 year (includes 24/7 breakdown service, all your controls, pumps, radiators, etc).

What happens when your first year of aftercare is over?

You'll have the option to continue your agreement with us. This would then include an annual gas boiler service, which is needed to validate your boiler manufacturer warranty.


What’s included with AA enhanced central heating aftercare?
  • Repairs to your heating or hot water, 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Unlimited call outs
  • Charges for labour, materials and parts
  • A safety and performance check and installation report (on installation)

What types of work aren't covered by aftercare?

Repairing or replacing things like:

  • The boiler unit
  • Any non-functional decorative parts/trim/casing
  • A flue that isn't part of your boiler, unless we provided it
  • Anything that might disturb asbestos
or
  • The cost of work carried out by an engineer you've booked yourself (unless we've agreed it)
  • De-scaling or de-sludging

What does the annual boiler service include?
  • Boiler combustion test
  • Visual inspection of flue route and termination;
  • Checking for water leaks, signs of heat stress and mechanical deterioration;
  • Checking pipe work and ventilation;
  • Carrying out a leak detection check;
  • The disassembly and cleaning of key components where they are found to be not performing to the manufacturer’s recommended specification.

What doesn't the annual gas boiler service include?
  • De-scaling or de-sludging the main heating system
  • Chemical flush of your heating system

What happens after the servicing?

The engineer will give you paperwork explaining what work they've done. If they've found any faults, they'll tell you whether or not these can be fixed under the boiler manufacturer warranty.
