Don't panic - the AA has Travelshops at Folkestone and Dover to ensure that you are fully equipped with all the legal requirements when driving in Europe.
AA Travelshop: Eurotunnel
At AA Travelshop: Eurotunnel, we welcome all Eurotunnel passengers and can be found in the main passenger terminal building.
We're open seven days a week from 06:00 to 20:00, but these hours may be extended during busy 'holiday' periods and bank holiday weekends.

AA Travelshop: Dover
AA Travelshop: Dover can be found in the parking area, adjacent to the travel centre at the entrance to the Dover Eastern Docks.
Opening hours are from 07:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday and 07:00 to 17:30 Saturday and Sunday.

International Driving Permits
You can also apply at AA Dover/AA Folkestone for an International Driving Permit.
You may apply at AA Travelshop: Dover (Eastern Docks Terminal) or, if travelling via Eurotunnel, AA Travelshop: Eurotunnel (Eurotunnel Passenger Terminal). You must complete an application form and produce one of the following ORIGINAL valid documents:
- your UK driving licence (if photocard licence, photocard and counterpart), or
- your UK pass certificate (certificate of competence to drive, valid for two years from the date of your test), together with your provisional driving licence, or
- your DVLA confirmation of entitlement to drive
