A charming Grade II former coaching inn situated in a peaceful village. Public areas feature beams, exposed brickwork and oak floors, with contemporary style decor; they include a choice of bars, a lounge and a restaurant. The individually designed bedrooms, including a romantic four-poster room, have lovely co-ordinated fabrics and modern facilities that include Musicast systems and internet access via Wi-fi and LAN. Food here is the real focus and certainly a draw; both the chef and the owner, who is a farmer, are very conscious of reducing 'food miles'; top quality produce such as Red Poll beef (from the owner's own farm), locally reared lamb, pork and seasonal game appear on the menus.
