This charming 18th-century country inn is located in the heart of the village, overlooking fine dale scenery. The area is renowned for its walking opportunities and many lovely routes lead from the hotel; a walking guide will be found in each bedroom. The attractively furnished bedrooms, including suites, are split between the main house and the rear courtyard. Guests might like to have a drink in the cosy bar with its log fire, after returning from a long walk. Good local produce features extensively on the menus that can be enjoyed in the oak-panelled restaurant with its white linen and gleaming silverware, or in the brasserie and bar. Service is both friendly and attentive.

What can we say but how lovely, our stay was just the best, lovely rooms, great food and great service. We will be back again and again.
