With stunning views of the Wharfedale countryside this beautiful hotel, owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, dates back to the 17th century. A long tradition of fine hospitality continues to this day, as guests' needs are accommodated in fine style, with attention to detail and friendly, personalised service. Bedrooms are elegantly furnished; those in the old part of the house are particularly spacious and have four-posters and fine antiques. The rest of the hotel is equally elegant, and it is a pleasure to spend time in one of the cosy sitting rooms. The Burlington Restaurant offers accomplished cuisine, while the Brasserie provides a lighter alternative. Both serve fresh and seasonal produce, largely from neighbouring farms, fields and rivers of the estate, as well as the hotel's own kitchen garden.
